Fun story, or maybe not about this game. I was a senior in high school, and I had skipped several days of school leading up to this game. My dad bought tickets to this game, knowing the Lakers are my favorite team, and Magic was my favorite player of all time. I had never seen him play live and assumed this would be my only chance. As luck would have it, the school called him this day to inform him that I'd missed several days. The first thing he told me was we weren't going to the game that night, devastating me. Looking back, and even then, I knew it was my fault. I was so pissed. Blew my only chance to see the legend in person. I remember being excited that I'd be able to see his 10,000th assist, too. Still irritates me that I fcked it up. Good to see the Lakers won the game, though. I couldn't remember if they did or not.

The people who believe these players would have a hard time against more modern players must be watching a different game than I have been watching. Magic would have a feast every game. In today’s less physical, no hand checking defense and his speed, dribbling, and court vision….??? He would average close to 20 assists a game.

The Lakers' defence over the last 6 minutes was insane. They were switching fast and hard, playing every passing lane, and sticking their hands everywhere. What an effort.
